The invention relates to a treatment for producing charcoal, followed by the application of a sudden temperature change, including a step of immersion in biodiesel and drying. In the present system for controlling, in real time, the ignition point of biodiesel in the methanol evaporation process, the ignition point of the biodiesel is estimated from the measurement of the concentration of methanol in the vapour generated over the surface of said fuel, since said methanol concentration has a direct correlation with the ignition point. This prevents the generation of a spark and the consequent combustion of the vapour occurring in other methods for measuring the ignition point, allowing a precise measurement to be obtained in a more simple manner. Once the ignition point has been estimated, the system determines when the biodiesel has reached an ignition point higher than the lower flammability threshold temperature, and feeds said information back for the control of the evaporator, thereby obtaining a biodiesel of the desired quality at the end of the process.
