The invention relates to a use method and system which detects an accident situation, such as a fall or impact, and transmits an accident signal to an emergency service autonomously using a normal mobile telephone. The system comprises: a device including a plate, management processing means, an accelerometer, processing means, a wireless communication antenna, a position locating device; a mobile telephone; and a remote station of an emergency service. According to the method, the accelerometer takes acceleration readings along the three movement axes of the device, the communication between the device and the mobile telephone is checked, and an accident condition is detected, with the subsequent transmission of an accident signal to the management processing means which transmit the position data and the accident signal wirelessly to the mobile telephone equipped with the application, from which the accident signal is transmitted to the remote station.

The invention relates to a safety bar for vehicles in traffic lanes, which comprises: two longitudinal elements which extend along the lane; at least one connector attached to the longitudinal elements by means for attaching the connector; a support structure that supports the bar, in which said connector is an open or closed hollow section, such that said section creates an interior space for the connector. The connector comprises a curved section, tangentially joined to each longitudinal element via the means for attaching the connector, the connector being arranged inside the space formed by the longitudinal elements. When the vehicle suffers an impact, the bar uniformly distributes the produced forces among the components that constitute same and said components of the vehicle, preventing the transmission of the longitudinal components by restricting the relative rotation between components.
