Stable foam prepared by means of a pressurized system employing a propellant gas for use in the improvement of textile and non-woven articles, and apparatus, the aim of which is to obtain a stable foam for use in the textile and non-woven industry. The invention focuses its innovative approach on the generation of a product, in this case a stable foam, which is ready-to-use and has applications particularly in the textile and non-woven industry. In this inventive design, the stable foam is formed by means of a pressurized system employing a propellant gas, it being possible for said foam to be pre-prepared in packaging of the aerosol-can type or in cylinders of the fire-extinguisher type or, further by means of a preparatory "in loco" system. The stable foam can be used as a vehicle for applying chemical treatments to woven or non-woven substrates; therefore, use is made of a foam-base-injector cylinder (C1) and a propellant-gas-injector cylinder (C2), which are in communication with a buffer tank (TK), the prepared-foam delivery (S1) being controlled by a valve (V4), i.e. a pressurized system is used employing a propellant gas and the actual composition for foam production, which is different from that which occurs in prior art improvement systems.

The present application relates to a process for producing a composition for partially substituting Portland clinker. The bauxite processing waste (red mud) initially undergoes a chemical treatment step, wherein (limestone) carbonates and silica derivatives (sand, silica clays, etc) are added until contents of SiO2 > 30%, CaO > 10% and Na2O < 10% are obtained. Following homogenization, the material is treated with heat (between 1000°C and 1500°C), partially melting and acquiring, upon cooling, a dark grey colour and free CaO content below 1.0%. The final product is then ground to a grain size distribution of 0.01-5 inches. The present application also relates to the composition produced by said process and use thereof, as a substitute for up to 30% of the Portland clinker in pozzolanic cements.

The present invention describes methods for preparing micro- and nano-scale polymeric pharmaceutical forms encapsulating benznidazole for parenteral administration, and pharmaceutical forms for oral administration, which self-emulsify in contact with biological fluids, forming micro- or nanoemulsions. Microcapsules, microspheres, microemulsions, nanocapsules, nanospheres, nanoemulsions, solid, semi-solid and liquid lipid nanoparticles, lipid-core nanocapsules and self-emulsifying systems, which form micro- and nanoemulsions, are included. The formulations sought to be patented include pharmaceutical forms having a structure of emulsified globules, optionally coated with polymers, containing a benznidazole and/or nitroimidazole derivative. The pharmaceutical compositions developed improve the dissolution profile of benznidazole, control drug release and increase plasmatic bioavailability, with a consequent improvement in pharmacological activity.
