The invention discloses a method for improving carbon sequestration in ocean, which comprises the following steps of: arranging an energy converter on the sea surface, and arranging a light emitting device below a heavy spring layer/thermocline layer or the heavy spring layer/thermocline layer; the energy converter is connected with the light emitting device through a cable; after the light emitting device is powered on, a light area is formed in the heavy spring layer and/or the layered marine environment below the heavy spring layer. A light emitting device is disposed below the heavy spring layer to provide a subsea light zone for promoting growth of organic matter such that the resulting organic material sinks to a deeper depth and incorporates into the seabed deposit. Wave energy is utilized to generate electricity, and then electricity is utilized to provide light that promotes biomass production. When biomass dies, fixed carbon can be taken away in the form of ocean snow, and the biomass sinks into ocean sediments. In order to provide environmental benefits, not only primary production can be promoted, but also the results of the production can result in long-term sequestration of carbon.

By conveying a phosphorus source into the ocean, the variety number of phytoplankton in the euphotic layer is increased, and the photosynthesis of the marine phytoplankton is improved. Atmospheric carbon dioxide is converted into organic matters through photosynthesis, and the organic matters settle to the seabed, so that the storage amount of carbon dioxide by the ocean is realized, and the concentration of carbon dioxide in atmosphere is reduced.

The invention relates to a seawater type carbon capture and storage (CCS) method and device suitable for coastal power plants, marine ships and other marine facilities burning fossil fuels to reduce carbon dioxide emission. The invention utilizes the principles that seawater can dissolve a certain amount of carbon dioxide and ocean can store a huge amount of carbon dioxide, fossil fuel tail gas is washed with seawater to dissolve carbon dioxide in the tail gas into seawater to perform carbon capture, then under the condition of controlling the pH value meeting related international regulations and technical standards, the seawater with dissolved tail gas carbon dioxide is discharged and injected into ocean to conduct carbon sequestration. The invention adopts an ''economical concentration'' strategy: under the premise of CCS whole process economical efficiency, designing the carbon concentration of the capture and storage process, namely ''economical concentration''. Compared with the existing ''high concentration'' strategy of ocean carbon sequestration, the method and device provided by the invention lower the cost of capture and storage of a same amount of carbon dioxide by one magnitude, make the CCS utilizing ocean carbon sequestration resources economically feasible, and create conditions for deeper development of ocean carbon sequestration so as to facilitate realization of climate goals.
