Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

29Scaring or repelling devices, e.g. bird-scaring apparatus
Appl.No 2004247572 Applicant KAIYU:KK Inventor MOTOMIYA NOBUO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection fence having a characteristic shape for protecting important coral colonies from Acanthaster.

SOLUTION: This coral-protecting fence against Acanthaster comprises warps, an Acanthaster-returning portion, and a frame. The Acanthaster crawls up on the warps in an unstable state, but drops in the Acanthaster-returning portion by its self weight or returns. Thereby, the Acanthaster can not climb over the protecting fence. Thus, a coral colony in the protecting fence can be maintained.

06Moles; Piers; Quays; Quay walls; Groynes; Breakwaters
Appl.No 2000161207 Applicant HAMAMURA SHOTARO Inventor HAMAMURA SHOTARO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a wave dissipating device that animals and plants which grow underwater, such as oysters, barnacles and seaweeds, are likely to cling to the bottom surface of the device provided in a floating condition on the surface of water of well-known motorboat race pool and to the portion of the device under the water, with new oysters, barnacles and seaweeds clinging one after another to dead oysters and barnacles increasing the weight of the device and causing the device to sink about 10 cm or more below the surface of water; the wave-dissipating effect of the device is then remarkably reduced and the device cannot dissipate high waves, resulting in the necessity of raising the device onto the ground at least once a year for the removal of the oysters, barnacles, seaweeds, etc.

SOLUTION: If the entire wave dissipating device sinks below the required depth from the surface of water because of an increase in weight due to oysters, barnacles, seaweeds and the like clinging thereto, water is drained by an amount corresponding to the sinking of the device via a draining pump to adjust buoyancy so as to restore or increase the reduced wave-dissipating effect of the device.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil-conditioning process in tidelands, shallow sea areas and mangroves by spraying an artificial zeolite onto the soils of the tidelands, shallow sea areas or mangroves.

SOLUTION: In the soil-conditioning process, the artificial zeolite is sprayed onto soils of tidelands, shallow sea areas and mangroves. Here, the artificial zeolite is preferably a Ca, Mg or Fe type for tidelands, an Mg, K, NH4 or Fe type or Fe-containing type for shallow sea areas and Fe type or Fe- containing type for mangrove soils.

Appl.No 1995320952 Applicant UEHARA SUNAO Inventor UEHARA SUNAO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to environmental protection and promotion of marine products industry and further serve as tourist attractions by reviving coral reefs which were died by damage eaten by Acanthaster and flow out of red clay to sea in the past.

SOLUTION: When transplantation is carried out by using broken pieces and cut pieces containing meat part of reef-producing coral and reef-unproducing coral, a transplanting auxiliary tool for protecting the transplanted coral reef is used. The broken piece of the coral reef is bound to the transplantation auxiliary tool to transplant coral reef on the sea bottom without carrying out any fixation. The transplanting auxiliary tool is capable of preventing transplanted coral reef from damage caused by being rubbed on sea bottom and has action which keeps so as not to be moved from a place which is first allowed to stand. Since transplantation operation of the coral reef is carried out without submerging, it is extremely effective to transplant the coral reef.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote a transaction based on a carbon dioxide fixing technology using ocean.

SOLUTION: This management device is composed of: a storage part 5 of a database including the classification of a carbon dioxide fixing technology using ocean and a region name showing an ocean region where the technology is available and the scale of the ocean area and carbon dioxide fixing quality (base unit) per unit area to be created by the technology; input parts 51 therefor; an accepting means 1 of the carbon dioxide emission quantity or the region name; an operation means 2 for calculating the product of the area and the original unit from the data stored in the database storing part 5 based on the input data such as the inputted carbon dioxide emission quantity or region name; a comparing means 3 for comparing the inputted carbon dioxide emission quantity with the product; and an output means 4 for outputting the comparison result. The original unit of the carbon dioxide fixing technology using ocean is set for each region so that the calculation of the carbon dioxide fixing quantity can be made minute, and an input/output means is connected to a communication line such as the Internet so as to be used.
