Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents

A custom-made appliance designed for total distalization of the upper dental arch. It consists of a Vitallium bar with two posterior holes for mini-screws' insertion localized at the para-median area, and two extended lever arms with two posterior hooks. The palatal plate should be applied with a stainless steel anterior trans-palatal arch, which is inserted in the palatal tubes of the maxillary first molars' bands and provided with two anterior soldered hooks. Distalization of the upper arch can be accomplished by applying an elastic chain or closed coil spring from the anterior hooks of the trans-palatal arch to the posterior hooks of the palatal plate.

The invention relates to a fruit sizing machine consisting of several concentrically-arranged continuous belts (1) comprising a set of holes (3) which are disposed on top of one another such as to form funnels, the size of said holes diminishing progressively from the outer band inwards. According to the invention, items of fruit which are disposed on the outer belt fall downwards by means of gravity through the different groups of stacked holes until a belt prevents the passage of such fruit. When the items of fruit are greater in size than the holes in the outer belt, said items remain on the outer belt. Subsequently, the items of fruit lodged in the holes in the respective belts are conveyed by the belts towards trays which are provided at the end of said belts, in the forward direction thereof. The items of fruit are supplied to the machine in an ordered, uniform manner with only one piece of fruit per hole in the outer belt.

Appl.No PCT/DE2003/002163 Applicant SAURER GMBH & CO. KG Inventor GERICKE, Dieter
The invention relates to a spinning machine, in which a compacting device (7) is situated downstream from the drafting assembly (1) of said machine. The compacting of a deformed fiber assembly (18) is effected by a flexible apron (8), which comprises a perforation track consisting of essentially circular compacting holes (17). Said apron is guided over a stationary suction opening (16) having, transversal to the running direction of the fiber assembly, a width that is greater than the diameter of the compacting holes. In order to be able to alter the extent to which a compacting device of this type compacts, the invention provides that aprons (8x) are used, which have compacting holes (17x) with a variable transversal extension (dx) or with a variable interspacing (ax). In order to obtain a compacting effect that is less than the highest attainable, aprons (8x) are used that comprise compacting holes (17x) with a greater transversal extension (dx) and/or with a greater interspacing (ax).

An antenna for a folder type communications handset. The handset comprises first and second enclosures pivotably joined to permit rotation of one enclosure relative to the other enclosure. The antenna is disposed over a ground plane formed in a printed circuit board in the first enclosure. The second enclosure also comprises a ground plane. A feed terminal and a ground terminal of the antenna are disposed to limit field coupling between the feed terminal and the ground plane in the second enclosure. The feed and the ground terminals are each connected to corresponding terminals on the printed circuit board by meanderline conductors.

An antenna for transmitting and receiving radio frequency energy. The antenna comprises a conductive top plate formed in the shape of a spiral. In one embodiment a sidewall meanderline extends from an edge of the top plate in the direction of a ground plane. A shorting meanderline connects the top plate and the ground plane. A first region of the top plate overlies the ground plane. A second region of the top plate extends beyond the ground plane. Tuning is provided by adjusting the length and other dimensions of the meanderlines.

Downsizing of an optical pickup device is made compatible with ensuring of aberration characteristics by irradiating an object lens (OBJ) with a light flux having a small divergent angle. More specifically, since its optical system magnification m1 is at least the lower limit (-1/7), a deterioration in aberration characteristics can be restricted even when, for example, a light flux from a light source is beamed with its center deviated or inclined from the axis of the object lens (OBJ). In addition, since an optical system magnification m1 is up to the upper limit (-1/25), a sufficient distance can be ensured between the object lens (OBJ) and an optical information recording medium (D).

Appl.No PCT/PL2003/000081 Applicant SKORUT, Adam Inventor SKORUT, Adam
The subject of the present invention concerns a method of effecting the safe and failure-free transfer of solar energy, and a low-pressure equipment system for the transport of solar energy, which serves to transfer solar energy gathered by collectors to the usable water storage tank, thereby enabling the functioning of the circuit of collectors at a low pressure. The method of effecting the safe transfer of solar energy consists in the introduction of a closed low-pressure gas pocket (4) to the closed circuit of transfer fluid (17) that transports solar energy from the solar collectors (2) to the heat exchanger (6). The low-pressure equipment system for the transport of solar energy utilises two independent circuits, whereas the primary transfer circuit (1), used to transport transfer fluid (17), is made up of solar collectors (2) connected by means of pipes (3) with a heat exchanger (6). The heat exchanger (6) is connected via pipes (3) and through a drainage tank (5) with the circulating pump of the primary circuit (11) and the solar collectors (2), The secondary transfer circuit (7) comprises a circulating pump of the secondary circuit (10), installed on the pipeline which supplies cold water to the heat exchanger (6), and pumps which carry hot water away from the heat exchanger (6) to the usable warm water tank, whereas both the primary and secondary transfer circuits are equipped with a control system (13).
