For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents

The purpose is to reduce the odor of a water-absorbable resin produced during the absorption of water. Disclosed is a process for production of a water-absorbable resin by subjecting a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to the reverse phase suspension polymerization. The process comprises the following steps (A) to (C): (A) adding an aqueous solution of the water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to a petroleum-derived hydrocarbon dispersion medium to disperse the aqueous solution in the dispersion medium; (B) adding a surfactant to the dispersion solution to further disperse the surfactant in the dispersion solution; and (C) performing the reverse phase suspension polymerization using a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator optionally in the presence of an internal crosslinking agent.

An electronic device may have a display system. The display system may include a waveguide, an input coupler, and a surface relief grating (SRG) structure. The SRG structure may be formed from a high-index material that includes titanium dioxide nanoparticles. To increase the refractive index of the high-index material, the ratio of the size of the nanoparticle core to the size of the capping layer may be increased. The high-index material may also include nanoparticles of different sizes to increase the packing density of the nanoparticles. The SRG structure may be depth modulated in a lateral direction to maximize efficiency. The SRG structure may include slanted ridges covered by an encapsulant. The SRG structure may include a blazed grating with ridges that are covered by a coating and encapsulated by an encapsulant.

A method for steam-cooking shrimp at reduced temperatures below 100°C to decrease the loss of shrimp by weight during the cooking process. An exemplary apparatus for carrying out the method of the invention includes a steam cooker with a conveyor belt for continuously transporting shrimp product into and through a cooking chamber open to the atmosphere. Thermostatic controls allow the temperature of the cooking chamber to be adjusted for the proper cooking time depending on the size of the shrimp and their loaded density. The cooking chamber contains a substantially homogeneous gaseous environment of a steam mixture for even cooking. Adjusting the speed of the conveyor belt can control the dwell time of the shrimp in the cooking chamber. Results of testing have shown that, to heat shrimp to an internal temperature of 62.8°C (a temperature sufficient to kill substantially all bacteria), lower cooking temperatures and longer cooking times than conventionally practiced decrease the loss of weight in cooked shrimp product.

Appl.No PCT/US2022/021558 Applicant APPLE INC. Inventor HUANG, Yi-Pai
An electronic device may include a stereoscopic display with a plurality of lenticular lenses that extend across the length of the display. The lenticular lenses may be configured to enable stereoscopic viewing of the display such that a viewer perceives three-dimensional images. The display may have different viewing zones that account for horizontal parallax as a viewer moves horizontally relative to the display. The display may be dimmed globally based on the detected vertical position of the viewer. The magnitude of dimming applied to the display may increase with increasing deviation of the viewer from a baseline viewing angle. The display may render content that compensates for the real-time vertical position of the viewer. Another option for the stereoscopic display is to include a lens film that has an array of lenses. Each lens in the array of lenses spreads light in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction.

An improved method of producing aluminum in an electrolytic cell comprising the steps of providing a molten salt electrolyte (45) at a temperature less than 900°C having alumina dissolved therein in an electrolytic cell (2) having a liner (4) for containing the electrolyte (45). The liner (4) is substantially inert with respect to the molten electrolyte (45) and has a bottom (36) and walls extending upwardly from the bottom (36). A plurality of non-consumable anodes (6) and cathodes (10) are disposed in the electrolyte (45) and an electric current is passed through the anodes (6) and through the electrolyte (45) to the cathodes (10) depositing alumium on the cathodes (10) and generating oxygen bubbles at the anodes (6), the bubbles stirring the electrolyte (45). Periodically, the electric current flow to the cell (2) is reduced for extended periods, during which time the electrolyte (45) and aluminum in the cell (2) is maintained in a molten condition by application of heat to the bottom (36) using heating means (80).

The invention relates to a method for stripping the muscle meat from fish, the heads already having been removed, by separating said meat from the dorsal (58) and ventral (59) rays (processus dorsalis and ventralis) including the fins (63) and the fin roots (60, 60.1) and from the ribs (61) or lateral spine extensions and the spine (62). The aim of the invention is to increase the yield of meat. To this end, incisions are made in the fish along the fin series and on both sides of the fin roots first, extending essentially into the area of the tips of the rays. The muscle meat is then stripped from the dorsal and ventral rays, following on from the incisions next to the fin roots. Whilst the first incision is made with a circular blade tool, the free cut in the region of the rays is made with a peeling tool equipped with knife blades.

An electrolysis cell (10) for producing a molten metal having a density less than a density of a molten electrolyte used for producing the metal in the cell. The cell includes a section (14) for the electrolysis of a salt of the metal contained in a molten electrolyte to form droplets of the metal in molten form contained in the electrolyte; electrodes (18) within the electrolysis section for effecting the electrolysis; a metal recovery section (15) for separation of the metal from the electrolyte to form a molten metal layer, having an upper surface, floating on an upper surface of the molten electrolyte; a tapping device for periodically removing molten metal from the cell; and a reservoir (25) for withdrawal and temporary holding of molten metal separated from the electrolyte in the metal recovery section. The reservoir has a means to remove liquid from the reservoir without permanently removing the liquid from the cell. The reservoir has a top, sides and bottom and has one or more openings in the top or sides of the container communicating with the metal recovery section. At least part of the opening(s) is maintained below the upper surface (71) of the metal layer during at least part of normal cell operations, and all of the opening(s) is kept above the upper surface of the electrolyte in the metal recovery section for at least part of the normal cell operations. The sides and bottom are otherwise closed to prevent metal or electrolyte from freely flowing between the metal recovery section and the reservoir. The cell containing such a reservoir may accommodate high rates of metal production without unduly increasing cell size or requiring high heating requirements.
