Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

Isolated Partial Scan (IPS) circuits and methods provide a partial scan technique which reduces the amount of added circuitry and eliminates the need for circuit design restrictions that are common to conventional design for testability (DFT) methods. A partial scan test circuitry has sequential scan elements (50) for directly replacing sequential logic elements within a circuit. Each scan element (50) performs the same function of the replaced sequential element and includes a data input (141, 143), a data output (142, 144), a scan input (132, 136), a scan output (134, 138), and control signals (112, 118, 124) for controlling the opeation of the scan element, including normal, scan in and scan out operations. The data output of each scan element does not change state during scan in or scan out operations.

Appl.No PCT/AT1999/000112 Applicant CASE STEYR LANDMASCHINENTECHNIK GMBH Inventor ZIBUSCHKA, Alfred
The invention relates to a method for controlling the drive of the power take-off shaft (3) of a tractor in which said shaft can be connected to the drive motor (1) by means of a power take-off shaft clutch (2). The tractor comprises a hydraulic power lift (7) to which a working machine (5) driven by the power take-off shaft (3) can be coupled. In order to improve safety and operational comfort, the inventive method is comprised of the following steps: a) the power take-off shaft clutch (2) is engaged by means of a pulse-width modulated on/off valve (16) when the switch (11) for turning on the power take-off shaft (3) is activated such that said clutch starts working in a controlled manner; b) if, afterwards, the switch (12) for changing over to an automatic mode is actuated, the power take-off shaft clutch (2) is disengaged when the power lift (7) is lifted; when the lift is not lifted, the power take-off shaft clutch (2) remains engaged; c) if the power lift is lowered again within a predetermined time interval, the power take-off shaft clutch automatically reengages, however, said clutch no longer engages after this time interval has elapsed.

Appl.No PCT/US1996/019498 Applicant HAZELTINE CORPORATION Inventor LOPEZ, Alfred, R.
A relative time offset is measured between transmission of a downlink signal (140) from a cellular radio network base station (12), and a reference signal (28) included in an uplink signal (144) received at the base station (12) from a network subscriber (16, 18). If the measured time offset is within a determined range, the uplink signal (144) is judged to originate from a subscriber (16) which is validly assigned to the base station (12), and the base station (12) will continue to track the valid uplink signal (144). If the relative time offset is outside the determined range, the uplink signal (144) is judged invalid, e.g., to originate from an interfering co-channel subscriber (18) assigned to a remote base station (14). The receiving base station (12) will then inhibit tracking of the invalid uplink signal (144).

The object of the invention is a method and apparatus for measuring the characteritic quantities, such as e.g., the length, diameter, volume, and defects, of a log (1) or similar, in which method the log (1) is moved at a known speed past a photographing station. The photographing station consists of at least one plane of light (4.1) that transects the direction of travel of the log and a video camera (3) set at a fixed angle (a) to this, and a computer apparatus (6), which is arranged to calculate and collect sequential images of a group of surface points (x1, y1, z1; ...; xN, yN, zN) of a three-dimensional model depicting the surface of the log as the log moves through the plane of light, in which the coordinates of each point are calculated with the aid of the geometry of the photography. The log (1) is transported transversely to the direction of the conveyor, the log then travelling along an imagined plane, while the plane of light (4.1) is arranged to intersect the imagined plane of movement of the log at a right-angle. A subgroup of points (yn (x1, z1; ...; xL, zL)) of the cross section is interpolated at regular intervals in the longitudinal direction of the log from the group of points (x1, y1, z1; ...; xN, yN, zN), and the radius (yN; rn) of the circle describing the cross section and the location of the centre-point (yn; xn; zn) are calculated from each subgroup obtained, and calculatory sequential elements, for example cylinders (c1...cM), from which the desired quantities are calculated, are formed with the aid of the circles obtained.

The drill bit (11) includes front (11a) and rear (11b) portions of different impedance, and the piston (10) includes front (10b) and rear (10a) portions of different impedance. In the drill bit, the front portion (11a) has a larger impedance than the rear portion (11b). In the piston, the rear portion (10a) has a larger impedance than the front portion (10b). The length of the drill bit front portion (11a) is about twice the length of the drill bit rear portion (11b). The length of the piston rear portion (10a) is about twice the length of the piston front portion (10b). The invention further relates to a drill bit (11) and a piston (10), per se.
