Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

Appl.No PCT/AU1985/000278 Applicant SEALING DEVICES PTY. LTD. Inventor DIXON, Rowland, Thomas
A mechanical seal assembly (11) for the rotating shaft (13) of a pump (10) having an axially adjustable bearing assembly (20, 21) and extending into the pump through an opening in the wall thereof. The seal assembly comprises stationary and rotatable seal members (31, 32) having abutting sealing faces (33, 34) and retained within a seal housing (25) which is axially moveable with the shaft, with portion of the seal housing abutting portion of the bearing assembly to prevent axial movement of the housing outwardly of the pump. Fluid pressure within the pump acts on one end of the housing for the seal assembly to force the housing and the seal assembly axially outwardly until the other end of the housing contacts the bearing assembly. The seal housing further supports a diaphragm (4) defining a cavity (45) therein containing a relatively incompressible fluid. Portion of the external surface of said diaphragm is exposed to fluid pressure within the pump, and another portion of the external surface supports the stationary seal member (32) on the side thereof opposite to its sealing face (34), whereby any increase in fluid pressure within the pump and acting on the diaphragm causes a corresponding increase in the pressure of the fluid within the diaphragm, and thus the pressure on the stationary seal member, to increase the seal force between the seal members.

Appl.No PCT/JP1992/000220 Applicant ENSHU CO., LTD. Inventor INOUE, Katsuhiro
A turning bearing mechanism (14) for a main shaft head serving as a universal head (15), which is required to provide a satisfactory torque as a driving system for turnably driving the heavy universal head and to afford a mechanical rigidity satisfactory to a turning shaft. Therefore, the turning bearing mechanism in which a static bearing (12) and a large diameter transmitting member (24) are provided to a turnably supporting shaft (10), which is provided with a lubricant supply device (30) and being highly rigid and free from a twist of a piping can be realized. The invention is most suitably used as the main shaft head, a so-called universal head of a machine tool such as a five-surface working machine.

Appl.No PCT/US1983/000429 Applicant EHRENFRIED, Ted, R. Inventor EHRENFRIED, Ted, R.
In the art of leg stretching ("split") there has been the problem of controlling the force used to force the legs into progressively wider stance. This problem has been overcome with the disclosed device. Disclosed are two separate leg supporting members (16, 18) which are independently pivotally connected to a base assembly (14). At their pivotal connection with the base assembly (14) they are further provided with a disk assembly (60) having a cable (63) attached thereto. The cable from each leg supporting member is attached through guide means (70) to a crank assembly (78) which, during operation, forces the leg supporting members (16, 18) apart stretching the legs of a user of a device a "split" position. The crank assembly housing (74) is pivotally mounted such that when the housing (74) is moved forward and/or rearward, the cable path of both cables is lengthened a small amount, providing the user with a controlled minute additional stretching movement. The leg supporting members (16, 18) during non-use are retractable partially into the base assembly (14) and a torso retaining seat back assembly (12) can be folded flat. The crank housing assembly (74) can also be folded down on top of the seat back assembly (12) providing a very compact storage configuration. In a preferred embodiment, a friction brake device (84) is affixed to the crank assembly (78) such that the user can straighten his legs away from the "split" position, thus strengthening his leg muscles as well as stretching them.

This invention relates to the release of a ski binding. The boot is provided on the inner surface with pressure-sensitive cells (6), which are actuated by predetermined loads from the foot and/or leg. At least one electromagnet (4; 8) is provided in the boot and supplied with current, which can be broken by signals from the pressure-sensitive cells (6) in the case when they are loaded, and at least one armature (3) attracted by the electromagnet is arranged so that, upon breaking of the current, the binding of the armature to the electromagnet ceases, and the boot (1) disengages from the ski (2).
