Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents

In addition, the proprietor of the system can benefit from lower maintenance costs and less exposure to financial risk. Moreover, the system can be installed at a multitude of diverse natural sites without altering or damaging the environment. Moreover, the same components can be used to produce other configuration options which increase the possibility of creating a system having characteristics enabling same to cover a multitude of inclinations. According to the invention, the various components are combined in order to obtain (i) maximum conservation of energy, said configuration combining a smooth rail (Fig. 1) and the self-balancing system (Fig. 3), or (ii) maximum braking, said configuration combining the skeleton rail (Fig. 2) and the high-braking safety system (Fig. 4).

Appl.No PCT/DE2003/000352 Applicant ROBERT BOSCH GMBH Inventor POLZIN, Norbert
The invention relates to a method and a device for monitoring the operating state of at least one tire of a vehicle depending on whether a trailer is coupled to the vehicle. According to the invention, the operating state of the tire, i.e., the tire state is monitored for changes. The operation of the vehicle with a trailer changes the distribution of the axle load between front and rear axle of the towing vehicle. This change manifests itself in modified slip conditions for the wheels on the front and on the rear axle and results in the wheel speeds in the trailer operation differing from those in the operation without trailer under otherwise identical conditions. The invention is particularly characterized in that the monitoring of the tire state based on the wheel speeds is modified in response to the recognition of an operation of the vehicle with a trailer. This modification can be used to detect for example the pressure loss of a tire with a better accuracy of detection.

Appl.No PCT/DE2003/000553 Applicant SIEMENS AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT Inventor KÖSTNER, Michael
The invention relates to a local network, particularly an Ethernet network having redundancy properties, in which coupling devices (K1, K2, K3) and a redundancy manager (RM) are interconnected in a ring-shaped topology. The redundancy manager opens the ring to create a linear topology if test messages (T11, T12) which said redundancy manager emitted are received at the other port (P42, P41) within a given period of time, otherwise the redundancy manager closes the connection. At least one of the coupling devices (K3) is configured as a so-called redundancy manager observer, which monitors the status of the network by means of test messages (T21, T22) emitted by said redundancy manager observer. The redundancy manager observer also opens the ring to create a linear topology if the test messages (T21, T22) thereof are received at the other port (P32, P31) within a given period of time, otherwise the redundancy manager observer closes the connection, whereby messages are prevented from circulating on the ring.
