Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

A multi-channel band-gear system for a rotary joint has a ring gear assembly with a conducting ring band in electrical contact with corresponding conducting bands of a set of intermediary planetary gears, which in turn are in electrical contact with a conducting sun band of a sun gear assembly. The ring band is formed with a plurality of conducting segments (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) which are electrically insulated from each other and positioned angularly in a circumferential direction of the ring gear, such that separate electrical power/signal channels are formed across the rotary joint. In a preferred embodiment having continuously connected channels, the ring band has four conducting segments at 90° intervals, the sun band has two conducting segments (14a, 14b) at 180° interval, and three planetary bands (12a, 12b, 12c) are in rolling electrical contact at 120° intervals between the ring band segments and the sun band segments, forming two continuously connected channels in a single layer of the band-gear system. Multiple sets of ring gear, planetary gear, and sun gear assemblies may be used in a stacked configuration in a single axial layer to further increase the number of channels provided through the band-gear system.

A process for continuously producing a chewing gum base comprises the steps of continuously adding a hard elastomer, a filler and lubricating agents comprising a softening agent into a continuous mixer (10), subjecting the elastomer, filler and lubricating agents to a dispersive mixing operation followed by a distributive mixing operation and continuously discharging the resulting chewing gum base from the mixer while the adding and mixing steps are in progress. The softening agent is introduced into the continuous mixer (10) at a plurality of spatially separated feed inlets (12, 13, 15). The softening agent is selected from the group consisting of fats, oils, waxes, emulsifiers and mixtures thereof.

Appl.No PCT/CH1995/000137 Applicant GENERALDIREKTION PTT Inventor RITTER, Rudolf
A device is disclosed for transmitting messages in a mobile radiotelephone network (1) with a plurality of terminals (4, 9). The terminals may be permanently associated to determined users or may be associated to determined users by means of chip cards insertable into the terminals. At least two terminals may mutually communicate speech or data over the mobile radiotelephone network. The mobile radiotelephone network has at least one message transmission controlling central switchboard (8). Each message consists of data. Data telegrams containing a standard data header are exchanged between terminals. In order to process special services according to a special procedure accessible only to authorised subscribers, the data telegram contains an identification code besides the standard data header. A central unit (10) associated with the central switchboard (8) and at least part of the terminals (4, 9) have means for generating data telegrams provided with the identification code. The central unit for special services and authorised terminals or chip cards are preferably equipped with a filtering software (12.1, 12.2) for recognising the identification code. It thus becomes possible not only to transmit any desired bit flows in a transparent mode based on GSM phase 2, but also to transmit or receive executable instructions to or from authorised subscribers without having to modify internationally adopted standards.

An endosteal implant for a fixed dental prosthesis is disclosed. It comprises an implantable cylindrical foundation element (57) made of metal, a metal spacer sleeve (12) which can be screwed into an internally threaded blind bore (56) in the foundation element, the blind bore being open towards the dental prosthesis; the spacer sleeve is closed at the end away from the dental prosthesis, is in contact via an annular ledge (20) with the end face of the foundation element facing the dental prosthesis and, from the annular ledge towards the dental prosthesis in a cylindrical extension region (22), has the same outer diameter as the foundation element (57). The implant also has an attachment head (42) for the dental prosthesis which can be connected to the spacer sleeve (12) by an intermediate element (24) provided with elastic material such as plastic or the like, and a metal implant abutment in the form of an anchoring screw (58) which can be screwed into an internally threaded pocket bore (46) in the spacer sleeve, said pocket bore being open towards the dental prosthesis by pressing a bearing surface of the dental prosthesis which faces the intermediate element onto a supporting ledge of the intermediate element facing away from the spacer sleeve (12). The intermediate element (24) is provided with a metal-plastic device which surrounds the pocket bore of the spacer sleeve substantially concentrically; said intermediate element has an intermediate element frame which is substantially compressible along the spacer sleeve's longitudinal central axis and, when subjected to bending strain, can also undergo excursion at right angles to said axis, and which is formed from metal in one piece with the extension region and the attachment head. Cavities (36, 38, 40) in the intermediate element frame (24) are filled with the elastic material such as plastic or the like, and the pocket bore (46) of the spacer sleeve (12) is provided with the internal thread (48) only in the region of the attachment head (42).

Modular roll apparatus particularly suitable for conveying hot material such as a sheet being processed. Each roll (8) has its own individual water bath and drive mechanism (7). A water trough (16) isolates the bath from the bearings (10, 12) and drive mechanism (7) for the roll (8) and bathes the underside of the roll (8) to cool it. The entire modular unit (1) can be removed from its operating position and replaced by a similar unit (1). A conveyor containing a multiplicity of such units (1) is suitable for conveying hot sheet steel or other hot material in a processing mill.
