The subject of the invention is the arm-rest of a seat in a vehicle containing a compartment for small articles. The cover (1) of this compartment is furnished with at least one pulled-out holder (2) for containers with drinks, for example, glasses or single-use cups. Each holder (2) has a central part (3) and two rotationally placed arms (4), each of which is supported with a spring (5). The arms (4) have roughly the shape of semi-rings. The object of the invention is the lock of a compartment for small items situated in the armrest of the car seat. The lock consists of the latch component (2), situated in the cover (1), on which there is the blocking surface (5), which mates with the blocking mass (6). The blocking mass (6) is a disk that is placed on the axis in the eccentric way. In case of placing the armrest in the passive position, the disk makes a turn under its own weight and contacting the blocking surface (5) of the latch component (2), it prevents the controlling lever (8) connected with the push-button (7) from moving the latch component (2) and opening the cover (1).

The object of the invention solves the problem of improving the functional values of vehicle seat armrests, especially those used in cars. The armrest according to the invention includes a compartment (2) for storing small objects that is closed with a cover, and which has a grip (3) in its front part. The grip (3) has the form of a spatial element with a convave upper surface provided with two sets of parallel slots: a set of slots for coins (4) and a set of slots for flat objects (5), such as a telephone card, a parking card or a credit card, that is situated perpendicularly to the set of slots for coins (4). On closing the cover of the compartment (2), the objects stored in the grip and the other ones in the compartment (2) are immobilised by pressing with a flexible element (6) connected with the cover.

As it moves longitudinally, the pressure bolt (45) impinges upon the valve member (60) as a result of the hydraulic forces of the pressure wave in the direction of closure.

The invention solves the problem of regulating the active position of an arm-rest of a seat in a vehicle, especially in a car. The arm-rest features the mechanism of regulating the active position. This mechanism is made up of the button (1) which through the lever (2) drives the ratchet-wheel (3) that is permanently connected with the cam (4). The cam (4) has the profile which is formed by rectilinear segments having a variable distance from the axis of rotation. The number of segments of the cam (4) corresponds to the number of active positions of the arm-rest. One of the rectilinear segments of the cam (4) rests on the resisting element (5) which is permanently fixed on the pin (6). The notches of the ratchet-wheel (3) are mated with the ratchet mechanism of the lever (7). The ratchet-wheel (3) connected with the cam (4), the ratchet-lever (7) and the resisting element (5) placed on the pin (6) are all mounted in the casing (9) which by means of the pin (6) is attached to the fastening support of the arm-rest (8).
