Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

[Problem] To appropriately manage service life of a cartridge in a cartridge used in an imaging device, and an imaging device. [Solution] This developer cartridge 1 comprises a detection gear 52 having a first protrusion 521, and a cartridge IC 62. The imaging device has a sensor that detects movement of the first protrusion 521. The imaging device writes new product determination information to the cartridge IC 62 if the detection signal from the sensor has a new product waveform. As a consequence, it is possible to determine on the basis of information inside the cartridge IC 62 whether the new production detection of that developer cartridge 1 has already been completed in the imaging device. Therefore, it is possible to verify special situations, such as when new product determination information can be obtained from the first protrusion 521, regardless of whether new product determination information has already been stored in the cartridge IC 62. As a consequence, it is possible to appropriately manage the service life of the developer cartridge 1.

In order to reduce rubbing of an electrical contact surface in a developing cartridge having the electrical contact surface, this developing cartridge 1 has: a case 10 housing a developing agent therein; a developing roller 30; a storage medium 61 having an electrical contact surface; and a holder 62 holding the electrical contact surface. The holder 62 holds the electrical contact surface on an outer surface in a third direction intersecting the electrical contact surface. The holder 62 is movable in a second direction, relative to the case 10. As a result, the position of the case 10 in the second direction can be changed without changing the position of the electrical contact surface in the second direction. Accordingly, the contact state of the electrical contact surface can be maintained and the position of the case 10 changed, during a separation operation after the developing cartridge 1 has been attached. Rubbing of the electrical contact surface can be reduced as a result.
