Appl.No PCT/HR2003/000031 Applicant VUKOMANOVIC, Stevan Inventor VUKOMANOVIC, Stevan
The Level indicator is intended for control or regulation of liquid medium level in tanks and pressurized vessels, and can also be used in rooms exposed to explosion risk. It has a sealed housing with a lid being fixed onto the tank wall. A magnetic switch holder is fixed onto the lid outside the tank and a lever assembly holder is fixed onto the lid inside the tank. The lever has a rotatable shaft having a magnet on one end and a weight plus a float on the other end. The applied magnetic switch features a high degree of explosion protection. In addition to its simple design, it has the following advantages: it signals a break in the electric conductor, the presence of electricity supply; signals can be actuated at high or low medium density and the contact status (open-closed) can be selected relative to the level in the tank. Its simple design makes it reliable in workshop conditions and it ensures safety in the facilities where it is used.

Appl.No PCT/US2003/040252 Applicant UNITED STATES STEEL CORPORATION Inventor
The present invention provides a process of producing a family of hot rolled dual phase steel sheets having excellent: formability and stretch flangeability, with yield strengths of from about 500 MPa to about 900 MPa from a single steel chemistry consisting of, by weight percent, 0.02-0.15 % of C, 0.3-2.5 % of Mn, 0.1-2.0 % of Cr, 0.01-0.2 % Al, 0.001-0.01 % Ca, not more than 0.1 % P, not more than 0.03 % S, not more than 0.2 % Ti, not more than 0.2 % V, not more than 0.2 % Nb, not more than 0.5 % Mo, not more than 0.5 % Cu, not more than 0.5 % Ni, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities. A slab or ingot of this composition is reheated to a temperature of between 1050°C and 1350°C and held at this temperature for at least 10 minutes, then hot rolled, completing the hot rolling at between 800°C and 1000°C. The sheet is cooled, immediately after completion of hot rolling, at a rate of not lower than 10°C/sec., without requiring specific cooling patterns, and coiled at a temperature of not less than 450°C. The cooling temperature is controlled to produce the desired yield strength within the range of from about 500 MPa to about 900 MPa.

Appl.No PCT/EP2003/006968 Applicant GRENZEBACH BSH GMBH Inventor HEINER, Armin
In known veneer slicing blades, wherein a block of wood is guided in front of a blade in an eccentrically rotational manner, the relatively large remnants of large wooden blocks cannot be measured. If the residual thickness of the wooden block is small, the edges move away in an elastic manner from the blade, leading to torn edges and correspondingly bad veneer quality. The aim of the invention is to improve a staylog machine in such a way that an evenly high veneer quality can be obtained even in the event of extensive use of said block of wood. This is achieved by providing displaceable means for supporting the longitudinal ends of the block of wood (16) protruding from the bearing surface (15) on the timber-frame (12).

Appl.No PCT/US2003/013262 Applicant LECO CORPORATION Inventor VERENTCHIKOV, Anatoli, N.
To provide comprehensive (i.e. rapid and sensitive) MS-MS analysis, the inventor employs a time-nested separation, using two time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometers. Parent ions are separated in a slow and long TOF1, operating at low ion energy (1 to l00eV), and fragment ions are mass analyzed in a fast and short TOF2, operating at much higher keV energy. Low energy fragmentation cell between TOF1 and TOF2 is tailored to accelerate fragmentation and dampening steps, mostly by shortening the cell and employing higher gas pressure. Since separation in TOF1 takes milliseconds and mass analysis in TOF2- microseconds, the invention provides comprehensive MS-MS analysis of multiple precursor ions per single ion pulse. Slow separation in TOF1 becomes possible with an introduction of novel TOF1 analyzers. The TOF-TOF could be implemented using a static TOF1, here described on the examples of spiratron, planar and cylindrical multi-pass separators with griddles spatial focusing ion mirrors. Higher performance is expected with the use of novel hybrid TOF 1 analyzers, combining radio frequency (RF) and quadratic DC fields. RF field retains low-energy ions within TOF 1 analyzer, while quadratic DC field improves resolution by compensate for large relative energy spread.
