Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents

The purpose is to reduce the odor of a water-absorbable resin produced during the absorption of water. Disclosed is a process for production of a water-absorbable resin by subjecting a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to the reverse phase suspension polymerization. The process comprises the following steps (A) to (C): (A) adding an aqueous solution of the water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer to a petroleum-derived hydrocarbon dispersion medium to disperse the aqueous solution in the dispersion medium; (B) adding a surfactant to the dispersion solution to further disperse the surfactant in the dispersion solution; and (C) performing the reverse phase suspension polymerization using a water-soluble radical polymerization initiator optionally in the presence of an internal crosslinking agent.

The present invention relates to lacquer-type painting materials and more particularly to zinc-containing formulations used as a protection against corrosion on metallic structures, buildings, pipes or articles. This invention relates more precisely to an anti-corrosion composition for the protection of metals, wherein said composition contains zinc powder as well as an ethylsilicate binder comprising ethylic alcohol, ethylsilicate, polyvinylbutyral, water and orthophosphoric acid. The zinc powder consists of particles, wherein the weight percent of particles smaller than 10 μm does not exceed 65, while that of particles larger than 20 μm does not exceed 15. This binder is characterised by the new proportions of its principal components, i.e.: ethylic alcohol/water: 10.5-15.3; ethylsilicate/water: 1.7-2.4 (relative to the weight). This invention also relates to a method for preparing the binder, wherein said method comprises dissolving the polyvinylbutyral in a portion of the alcohol, mixing the quantity of alcohol remaining with the orthophosphoric acid and the water, mixing together the two alcohol-based solutions thus obtained and finally adding the ethylsilicate to this mixture. This invention may be used to increase the corrosion resistance of a zinc-compounded coating up to 2000 hours in conditions such as a saline-mist chamber. The adhesive durability may also be increased from 8 to 12 months, while the durability of a freshly prepared composition is enhanced from 10 to 24 hours. This invention is particularly efficient in anti-corrosion applications on large metallic structures designed for extended use such as power-line supports, bridges, hydraulic structures, tanks for petroleum products, etc. This composition may be applied in situ and the coating may be repaired by applying a layer of said composition on the damaged sections.

The invention relates to chemical equipment, in particular to the internal arrangement of chemical reactors used for processing in a gas-liquid medium, and can be used for example, for synthesizing carbamide from ammonia and carbon dioxide at high temperature and pressure. The inventive nozzle comprises perforated separating baffles (7) and (8) and tubular contacting devices (9) fixed to a supporting grid (13) by the upper ends thereof. The contact device (9) comprises vertical tubular circular-section elements i.e. one descending element (10) and one lifting element (11) connected to each other in a lower part thereof with the aid of a U-tube element (12). The descending element (10) is fitted with an orifice (14) and an orifice (15) for supplying gas and fluid, whereas the lifting element (11) is fitted with an orifice (17) embodied in the supporting grid for the output of a gas-liquid mixture. A short shell (18) is fixed to the bottom of the supporting grid and creates an air-cushion enabling the gas-liquid mixture to be uniformly distributed through the contact devices (9) and the cross section of the reactor. The inventive nozzle can be produced in an easy manner and makes it possible to increase the degree of phase interreaction.
