Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents

Appl.No PCT/RU1999/000361 Applicant ORENTLIKHERMAN, Isaak Aronovich Inventor ORENTLIKHERMAN, Isaak Aronovich
The present invention pertains to the field of geophysical well equipment and of equipment for applying physical actions on the fields. This invention can be used in geological prospecting, in the mining, petroleum- and gas-extraction industry as well as in other industrial branches for intensifying the extraction of mining resources. The piezoelectric converter includes a piezoelectric packet that comprises longitudinally polarised piezo-ceramic rings which are connected in parallel and associated with end parts having a thickness of λ\40, wherein λ is the wavelength of the material used for said parts. The piezoelectric converter also includes a reinforcement rod member as well as a retaining ring member that provides the longitudinal compression forces of the piezoelectric converter, i.e. the reinforcement force thereof. The retaining member comprises a flute for dampening oscillations and for eliminating the need for any reinforcement tube in the oscillating system. The piezoelectric packets are connected by a flexible insert or resilient member. The rod member and the retaining member are connected so that the reinforcement force can be adjusted. The resilient member and the end parts are made of a material exhibiting wave resistance as well as a thermal expansion coefficient for the ceramic of the rings, e.g. titanium or steel. This piezoelectric converter has an increased reliability and an extended life time.

Appl.No PCT/RU1999/000367 Applicant ORENTLIKHERMAN, Isaak Aronovich Inventor ORENTLIKHERMAN, Isaak Aronovich
The present invention pertains to the extraction of mineral resources obtained by a method involving the use of wells, and essentially relates to an acoustic method for applying an action on a well and on the layer of a field of mineral resources (ARWL). This invention can be used in the crude-oil extraction as well as in the gas, mining and geological prospecting industry. This invention is more particularly intended for use in the gas and crude-oil extraction techniques, mainly during operations for the rehabilitation of wells and layers (acoustic rehabilitation of wells and layers or ARWL) in order to increase the crude oil yield from the layers and to enhance the crude oil extraction. The method of the present invention comprises operations that involve applying a complex acoustic action on the perforated zones of the well and carrying out a selective treatment of the perforation interval and of the producing strata of the layer using a directed acoustic field in order to combine the pressure, the duration and the range of the action. The method involves using sound and ultrasonic signals with directivity characteristics of up to 180° as well as acoustic pressure indicators from minimal values necessary for modifying the current operation of the well to maximal values defined by the elasticity limits of the rock. These operations are carried out for a duration which represents an efficient action duration, the action range being the initial efficient action range. The treatment can be made according to a basic mode that involves sequentially treating the well perforation interval and the producing strata of the layer using three acoustic signals, or according to another combined sequence determined from the type and the condition of the well. This method is used for unifying the complex action for all types of wells having different exploitation modes and being operational or not.

The invention relates to cartridges for a portable barrelless weapon for self-defence. Said weapon can be used by civil persons for self-defence by shooting with traumatic elements. The inventive cartridge comprises a cartridge case, a powder charge, an ignition element embodied in the form of an electrical ignition fuse and a gas generator pressed into the cartridge case, in addition to a traumatic element embodied in the form of a rubber bullet provided with a metallic core which prevents the extraction of the bullet. The bullet is rolled inside the body of the gas generator. The electrical ignition fuse and the gas generator can be embodied in the form of a single part or be embodied separately. The cartridge case can be made of a high resistant aluminium alloy or reinforced plastic material. The inventive traumatic element for a barrelless weapon is made of a flexible metal and embodied in the form of a bullet provided with a metallic core which prevents the extraction of the bullet. The bullet consists of two parts, i.e. the head part and the tail part connected to each other with the aid of a strap. The tail part of the bullet has an external diameter which is less than the diameter of the head part. The bullet can be made of rubber. The invention excludes the possibility of bad wounding by the cartridge and the bullet at a distance equal to or greater than 1 meter and ensures a stopping effect at a distance equal to or less than 10 meters.
