Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

Appl.No PCT/FR1985/000119 Applicant SOCIETE NATIONALE ELF AQUITAINE (PRODUCTION) Inventor STARON, Philippe
The method is characterized in that it comprises the marking on rod (7) and ground (8, 9) records elementary records corresponding to a same elevation (Z1 or Z4) of the drilling tool (5), the grouping in pairs of said elementary records, and the intercorrelation of said records of the pairs so as to produce, for each pair, a correlated signal representative of the acoustical energy created and of the travel time difference of the waves received by sensors (7, 8, 9) from which the pair of recordings has been obtained. Applications particularly to the determination of the seismic profile of wells.

Appl.No PCT/CH1984/000110 Applicant ANDREOLI, Marcel Inventor HOTZ, Paul
The pumping device is intended to pump water at a higher level, current water providing the driving energy. It comprises a container (1) slowly filled with water (W) lifting a float (2) and actuating via a lever system (4, 5, 6) the piston (7) of a pump. When the piston pump (7, 8) has effected one stroke, the container (1) must be emptied. To this effect, a float pipe (10) enabling the discharge of water fills a container (11) opening an emptying valve (15) via a lever system (12, 13, 14). In order to leave the valve open during a certain time lapse, but not permanently, the container (11) has a calibrated discharge opening (11'). Owing to its simple arrangement, the present pumping plant is convenient to be used in developing countries.

Appl.No PCT/US1989/001029 Applicant KEATING ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE, INC. Inventor KEATING, Paul, J., II
Apparatus, and a method for using the apparatus, for stripping solid material containing at least one volatile organic compound (VOC). The apparatus is provided with a dryer (12) having a heat source to heat the VOC-containing material to a first temperature, hot enough to volatilize the VOC, but below the cracking temperature of the VOC. The VOC in the dryer is volatilized to form VOC gases. A means for combusting the VOC gases (e.g. a kiln) (14) heats the VOC gases with excess air to a second temperature, hot enough to destroy the organics in the VOC gases. Simultaneously the combustion means preferably can be used to treat a kiln processable material to form a desired product. The kiln includes means for feeding the kiln processable material to the heating chamber, means (21) for cooling and recovering the desired product, the means (16) for providing heat for the VOC dryer. The apparatus also includes a conduit (15) for conducting the gases containing VOC from the dryer to the kiln.

10Devices for preventing movement between relatively-movable hinge parts
Appl.No PCT/FR1984/000251 Applicant RAUNER, Hans Inventor RAUNER, Hans
The clamping of the cylindrical knots of the hinge (1, 2) against the interleaved washer (9) is caused by means of a lever (15) actuating two excentrics (18) articulated to the pivoting axis (5) and acting under a ring (12) freely engaged at the lower end of said axis (5), said lever (15) being applicable against the cylindrical knots of the hinge in the neutral loosening position, or the lever (15) may be spread apart for the blocking operation. The U-shaped lever (15) comprises two parallel wings (18) extended perpendicularly under the ring (12) of the pivoting axis (5) of the hinge and cut out by oblong openings (17) traversed by an articulation axis (13) from the wings (18) to the pivoting axis (5), those openings enabling the lateral displacement and oscillation of the lever (15) so that the wings (18) act as excentrics by their rounded ends.

Appl.No PCT/US1985/000478 Applicant VICKERY, James, D. Inventor VICKERY, James, D.
A dry material sorting device for selectively sorting mixtures of granular material comprising component materials such as sand and gold having different specific gravities. In a first embodiment, a prescreening device (120) is used to segregate particles into separate batches based on particle size. Each batch is then fed to a horizontal wind tunnel (12) whereby the heavier particles drop out of the air stream nearer the feed point than the lighter particles, thus effecting separation based on specific gravities. In an alternate mode, the screening takes place using a dynamic screen (90) having variable aperture sizes, after the particles have been separated by specific gravities in the wind tunnel (12).

1Conditioning for facilitating separation by altering physical properties of the matter to be treated
04by additives
Appl.No PCT/US1984/000946 Applicant OLEOPHILIC SIEVE DEVELOPMENT OF AMERICA, INC. Inventor KRUYER, Jan
A mixture containing oleophilic surfaced mineral particles and oleophobic gangue particles in an aqueous phase is separated by means of an apertured oleophilic endless sieve (5) supported in a separating zone (11) by a revolving cylindrical cage (1) having apertured sidewalls (2) and supported in a recovery zone (19) by a support roller, each section of sieve surface alternately revolves through the separation zone (11) and recovery zone (19). The aqueous mixture is introduced as a slurry into the rotating cage (1) in the separation zone (11). The endless sieve (5) partly covers the outside surface of the cylindrical cage sidewall (2). An oleophilic adhesive is placed on the sieve as a coating or added to the aqueous slurry in the cage or both. The adhesive attracts the oleophilic mineral particles. The mixture tumbles inside of the cage (1) and thereby is brought up to sieve speed and passes through the cage sidewall apertures (37) to the sieve surface. Aqueous phase of the mixture passes through the sieve apertures (38) into a bath (7) from where it is removed. The oleophilic mineral particles of the mixture adhere to the oleophilic adhesive and are captured by the sieve (5) upon contact and conveyed out of the separation zone (11). Some residual aqueous phase is removed from the sieve (5) after which it passes into the recovery zone (19) where the mineral particles and some adhesive are removed from the sieve (5) as a mixture.
