Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

ABSTRACTA side rail is formed into a ring shape having its generally rectangular section that has an outer surface 3 formed with a pair of edge surfaces 5 of small radius, and an intermediate surface 6 of large radius of curvature formed between the edge surfaces 5. When the side rail is in the inclined condition in operation, each edge surface 5 can easily ride on oil film on cylinder 16 and allow the side rail 1 to perform smooth sliding movement on the inner surface of cylinder. The intermediate surface 6 efficiently scrapes lubricating oil on cylinder to form lubricating oil film of necessary and minimum thickness between an inner surface 17 of cylinder 16 and side rail 1. Also, the larger radius of curvature for forming the intermediate surface 6 provides a larger contact area to the inner surface 17 of cylinder 16 to improve wear resistance.

Appl.No PCT/CR2003/000002 Applicant DARREN, William, Hreniuk, Mitchell Inventor DARREN, William, Hreniuk, Mitchell
The invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and materials. More specifically, the invention relates to a self-adjusting system of crossing rails having multiple characteristics which extend the useful life of the crossing system by at least a factor of four, while offering a safety support by providing redundancy to the line system. In this way, human passengers can move from place to place easily and safely with a minimum of noise and vibrations. In addition, the proprietor of the system can benefit from lower maintenance costs and less exposure to financial risk. Moreover, the system can be installed at a multitude of diverse natural sites without altering or damaging the environment. Moreover, the same components can be used to produce other configuration options which increase the possibility of creating a system having characteristics enabling same to cover a multitude of inclinations. According to the invention, the various components are combined in order to obtain (i) maximum conservation of energy, said configuration combining a smooth rail (Fig. 1) and the self-balancing system (Fig. 3), or (ii) maximum braking, said configuration combining the skeleton rail (Fig. 2) and the high-braking safety system (Fig. 4).

Appl.No PCT/EP2002/009064 Applicant BEIERSDORF AG Inventor FELTEN, Bernhard
The invention relates to a box (1), especially for damp towels packed in bags, consisting of an upwardly open container (2), an outer lid (3) which is placed on the container (2), and an inner lid (4) which is coupled to the outer lid in such a way that it can be opened independently from the outer lid (3), and which reversibly closes an opening (32) provided in the outer lid (3). The outer lid (3) is provided with a button (6), and the inner lid (4) and said button (6) are connected in a non-positive, detachable manner. The button (6) is formed in such a way that at least one component of the button (6) can be displaced by the inner lid (4) in a plane which is parallel to the plane formed by the closed inner lid (4), in such a way that the non-positive connection between the inner lid (4) and the component of the button (6) is released. An elastic element (5) is provided between the inner lid (4) and the outer lid (3), said element pressing open the inner lid (4) which is thus released.

Appl.No PCT/US2000/041839 Applicant THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY Inventor CHANG, Fu-Kuo
A diagnostic layer (10) having a network of actuators and sensors (14) may be incorporated into or on the surface of composite, metallic, and laminated materials (12) for monitoring the structural health of the material. The diagnostic layer (10) is adapted for detecting and measuring changes in the condition of the material, e.g., the site and extent of damage in the material. In a preferred embodiment, piezoelectric devices are embedded in the diagnostic layer in a network, and serve as actuators and sensors. Signals emitted from the sensors in response to physical deformation, either by an impact or as a result of stress waves generated (10) by actuators, are diagnostic of the current condition of the diagnostic layer. The diagnostic layer is also adapted to monitor the curing process of a composite material and accurately determine when curing is complete. Methods for monitoring changes in conditions of a material are also disclosed.

System (10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28) and method (100, 102, 104, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120) for preparing and manipulating a weather display (54) including accurately displaying the current position of a weather storm cell and predicting and (54) displaying a future path (53) of the cell. A position and predicted track of a storm cell may be determined based on weather information from a first weather information source, eg., NEXRAD, and displayed on a weather display. Preferably, the displayed storm cell position and track is updated between the receipt of NEXRAD updates based on weather information received from a second weather information source, e.g., live radar data. Thus, integration of detailed NEXRAD weather data information with live radar data to provide an enhanced ability to predict accurately the movement of severe weather cells and to provide an accurate warning to those in the path of such cells is provided.
