The lack of an accessible association may have negative implications, e.g. for traffic management. The triggered signaling event may include releasing this tunnel.

The present invention relates to an ion-modulated organic transistor (100), comprised of a phase separated blend (90) of a semiconducting polymer (30) and an isolating polymeric material (60), and an electro yte (65) comprising an eutectic mixture (70) situated between the S-C and G electrodes. The transistor operates at low voltages, is fast, can be applied to rough surfaces, and is optionally biodegradable. The vertical phase separation makes a thin semiconducting layer (31) on top of the blend making faster devices possible, the thin semiconducting layer (31) on top also ensure good device properties even if deposited on rough surfaces (80). By the introduction of an eutectic mixture (70) into the electrolyte (65) between the gate electrode (40) and the phase separated blend (90), device modulation can be achieved. Said thin vertically phase separated organic semiconductor layer (31) is in contact with the source electrode (10) and the drain electrode (11) of the transistor directly or via th e lateral phase separated semiconducting polymer phase (32). Cyclization of the intermediate in the presence of a cyclization reagent provides the compound of Formula-I. The pigment has wavelength of maximum absorption (λmax) at 571nm in dimethylformamide as a solvent.
