PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose joint fitting which is advantageous for securing durability.

SOLUTION: A pipeline nut 22 has a female screw part 2202, a conical pore part 2204 and a through-hole 2206 coaxially arranged. The female screw part 2202 is formed screwably to a male screw part 1202 of an equipment side joint fitting 12. The through-hole 2206 is formed with such an inner diameter that a pipe 18 can be inserted therethrough. The conical pore part 2204 is formed such that the inner diameter gets to gradually smaller as being separated from the female screw part 2202. An inner circumferential surface 2204A of the conical pore part 2204 is formed so as to permit engagement of the pipe 18 to a flange 1804. A friction engagement part 24 which uniformly increases friction resistance of the inner circumferential surface 2204A to the flange 1804 over the whole circumference of the inner circumferential surface 2204A is formed.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball throwing machine including a motor coupled to a rotary wheel and configured to rotate the rotary wheel at a rotational speed to throw a ball forward toward an athlete.

SOLUTION: A speed control module may be coupled to the motor 108 and configured to rotate the rotary wheel 102, via the motor 108, at a first rotational speed during a fastball setting and a second rotational speed during a changeup setting. The speed control module may determine the second rotational speed based on the first rotational speed so that a ball thrown by the ball throwing machine will arrive in a target zone when the ball throwing machine is in the fastball setting and the changeup setting. The speed control module may utilize resistive braking to transition the rotary wheel 102 from the first rotational speed to the second rotational speed.

The present invention is provided with: a switching element (S1); a drive unit (10), which is connected to a gate of the switching element (S1), and which drives the switching element (S1); and an abnormality detection unit (20), which supplies a constant current to a control terminal of the switching element (S1), and which detects an abnormality of the switching element (S1) on the basis of a transient change of a control terminal voltage of the switching element (S1).
