PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rush current suppressing device which suppresses rush current, enlarges load current and which can be made into an external adapter.

SOLUTION: One pole of an AC power supply 1 is connected to an AC input node 3A of a rush current suppressing circuit 3 through a switch SW and primary winding 21 wound to a core 2. An AC input node 3B of the rush current suppressing circuit 3 is connected to the other pole of the AC power supply 1 through a load 4. A rectifier smoothing circuit 5 is connected between terminals of secondary winding 22 wound to the core 2. Positive and negative output terminals of the rectifier smoothing circuit 5 are connected to bias circuit nodes 3C and 3D of the rush current suppressing circuit 3.
