The driven pulley (10) comprises a first sheave (12) and a second sheave (40) coaxially mounted around a main shaft. The first sheave (12) is fixed with reference to the main shaft while the other is allowed to slide and rotate with reference to the main shaft. The driven pulley (10) is designed so that a portion of the second sheave (40) can enter inside the first sheave (12). A return spring (80) is also provided inside the driven pulley (10). This driven pulley (10) can be designed as a reversible driven pulley by adding a second set of ramps (36) and followers (70). The driven pulley (10) can be constructed in a very compact manner and consequently, with a smaller weight compared to an equivalent conventional driven pulley.

This invention relates to a variable speed drive with synchronous AC motor. In the disclosed embodiment, a variable speed drive operates in three modes: a first predetermined mode, in which a function (e.g., trapezoidal current waveform) controls operation at low motor speeds; a transitional mode, in which a transition function is applied to anticipate transitions of the first function, thus causing a smoothing of transitions at higher speeds; and a second predetermined (e.g., sinusoidal or smoothly-varying current) waveform at high speeds. This allows for the reduction in required rotor position sensor resolution as compared to conventional synchronous variable speed drives, resulting in cost savings in the sensor device and associated wiring. Additionally, it is quieter and more efficient operation at high speed as compared to conventional trapezoidal-current/DC-brushless motor drives.

Embodiments herein disclose a digitally precoded SC-FDMA scheme with low PAPR, where the scheme applies a constellation rotation to the M-ary input data sequence, before circularly convolving the rotated data sequence with a polynomial decoder. The data is then transformed to the frequency domain and then mapped. An N-point IIFT is then applied to the data to produce time domain samples.

Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for automated atrial fibrillation detection. Based on morphology analysis, atrial beats are recognized and used for R-R intervals analysis. The invented system creates R-R interval classes and estimates irregularity indicator value (deviation) for each class. The total average R-R intervals deviation for all analyzed atrial beats is calculated by weighted averaging of the irregularity indicator values of all classes, where the weight values are equal to the class sizes.

The present invention pertains to the field of electronic communications and essentially relates to a telephone network, for a structured item such as an office, that comprises a local computer network for connecting computers on the transmission and reception side of the system through network adapters as well as a plurality of phone sets. The telephone network also includes a computerised telephony server which is connected to the local computer network and to a general-purpose telephone network. Each phone set is directly connected to the local computer network. The connection is carried out through a telephone adapter and through a network adapter serially connected to the latter. The telephone adapter is provided with functions for converting analog/digital signals adapted to the clock frequency of the local network, signals for calling subscribers at addresses of other telephone adapters connected to this local computer network as well as clearing signals. As for the connection of remote items comprising analog telephone networks, the local computer network of each item is provided with a router through the channel of an external computer network, wherein said router is capable of connection through said channel to the routers of other local networks.

A packaging technology that fabricates a microelectronic package including build-up layers (118, 124, 136) having conductive traceses (124) on an encapsulated microelectronic die (102) and on other packaging material that surrounds the microelectronic die (112), wherein an moisture barrier structure is simultaneously formed with the conductive traces. An exemplary microelectronic package includes a microelectronic die having an active surface and at least one side. Packaging material(s) (112) is disposed adjacent the microelectronic die side (2), wherein the packaging material (112) includes at least one surface substantially planar to the microelectronic die active surface. A first dielectric material layer (118) may be disposed on at least a portion of the microelectronic die active surface and the encapsulation material surface. At least one conductive (124) trace is then formed on the first dielectric material layer to electrically contact the microelectronic die active surface. A barrier structure proximate an edge of the microelectronic package is formed simultaneously out of the same material as the conductive traces (124).

This invention relates to a process for the disproportion and transalkylation of toluene and C9+ heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, which has no disadvantage such as the low ability for treating the heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, or the wasting to the non-aromatic light hydrocarbons or the strict limit of the feed compositions due to only using the dealkylation of heavy aromatic hydrocarbons. According to the invention, it's possible to carry out the disproportion and transalkylation of heavy aromatic hydrocarbons effectively to produce more benzene and xylene by using Mo oxide and other active components supported on zeolites as the catalysts. The said catalysts can be employed in commercial production with high catalytic activity, great treating amount of C10+ aromatic hydrocarbons, and high selectivity for benzene and C8 aromatic hydrocarbons.
