The riser base is an insert produced by manual moulding or by blowing an insulating or exothermal composition, comprising hollow microspheres of aluminium silicate. The mould mainly consists of silica sand and has a main cavity designed to be filled with molten metal in order to produce a casting and at least one auxiliary cavity. The insert fits into the auxiliary cavity made in the mould and has an inner cavity designed to receive molten metal from a supply riser or mini supply riser, and an external geometry that coincides with the geometry of said auxiliary cavity. The at least one auxiliary cavity made in the mould itself is arranged such that, when the riser base is inserted into said auxiliary cavity, the inner cavity of the riser base communicates with said main cavity of the mould (part) in order to allow the passage of the molten metal.

Method and system for eliminating organic micropollutants in wastewater by means of a ceramic-membrane enzyme reactor. The invention relates to a method and a system for eliminating organic micropollutants present in secondary effluents from wastewater treatment plants or industrial effluents by means of ligninolytic enzymes of the peroxidase or laccase type, in ultrafiltration or nanofiltration ceramic-membrane enzyme reactors. Further to a filtration pre-treatment for minimising the colloid concentration, the water to be treated is introduced into the reactor where it meets the free peroxidase or laccase enzyme. The outflow of the reactor is pumped to the ceramic membrane, separating into two flows. The retention flow containing the enzyme recirculates back to the reactor. The permeate flow constituting the effluent of the membrane enzyme reactor is free of micropollutants and can be discharged into the aquatic environment.

The invention relates to a nanostructured electrolyte based on magnetic nanoparticles of magnetic iron oxide that can be easily separated with a magnet. The electrolyte comprises a ligand covering the surface and strongly bound to the nanoparticle at one end and, at the other end, contains a functional group that provides high osmotic pressure for use in the treatment of seawater or inland water to convert same to drinking water by means of direct osmosis. The electrolyte can also be re-used. The invention also relates to the method for the production of the electrolyte and to its use, for example, in desalination processes.
