The invention relates to a measuring element that can be connected to the electrical grid via the connection thereof to the outer surface of an electric cable by means of a mechanical fastening provided with manually adjusted regulation means for attaching to the outer surface of an electric cable; and is also provided with means for detecting the signals or parameters of the electrical grid, such that when the measuring element connects to the electric cable, said detection means collect signals or parameters available in said electrical grid, such as the current signal. Advantageously, the measuring element can be applied and removed easily by a "non-professional" user, and couples to the active electrical grid via any type of electrical cable of any diameter.
