The present application relates to the technical field of air conditioners. Disclosed are a driving mechanism for an air conditioner deflector, and an air conditioner. The driving mechanism comprises: a first connecting rod, which is provided with a first recess, first gear teeth being provided at the first recess; a second connecting rod, which is provided with a first protrusion, second gear teeth being provided at the first protrusion; a first gear, which meshes with the first gear teeth to drive the first connecting rod to move in a telescopic motion in a direction of length of an air duct; and a second gear, which meshes with the second gear teeth to drive the second connecting rod to move in a telescopic motion in the direction of length of the air duct, wherein when the deflector is in a closed position, the first recess corresponds to the first protrusion, such that when the first gear meshes with the first recess, and the second gear meshes with the first protrusion, the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod can move at different speeds, thereby enabling the movement of the deflector. By means of configuring the shapes of the first connecting rod and the second connecting rod, the deflector has multiple air deflection positions, thereby achieving a simple structure and high reliability.
