Disclosed is a method for producing biochips, said method comprising immobilizing a selective binding substance on the surface of a substrate through a condensation reaction using a spotting solution that contains a condensing agent, wherein the quality of a spot can be examined using the deposition of a salt thereof as an indicator and thus biochips with guaranteed qualities can be produced. This method for producing biochips comprises: step A for applying to the surface of a substrate a solution that contains a selective binding substance, a salt and a condensing agent; step B for allowing the selective binding substance to bind to the surface of the substrate; step C for drying the applied solution to cause the deposition of the salt in the solution on the surface of the substrate; and step D for detecting the salt having been deposited in step C with the use of an image detection device, wherein, in step A, the concentration of the condensing agent in the solution is 30-80 mM inclusive.
