Stemming reduces inflected words to their stem or root form.
For example the words fishing, fished, fish, and fisher are reduced to the root word, fish,
so a search for fisher returns all the different variations
Returns only one member of a family of patents
Include Non-Patent literature in results

The technology involves scaffold structures used for in-ear sensor systems. Such systems that can perform biometric signal detection or act as a human-computer interface. Scaffolding arrangements minimize the amount of material placed in the ear while providing a secure fitting device that can be worn for hours, days or longer in order to provide maximal benefit to the wearer. The scaffolding includes a “C”-shaped arcuate curvature for at least part of the housing. This configuration can act as a natural leaf spring to help maintain the housing in contact with different points along the ear. Sensors are located along various points of the scaffolding for use in different diagnostic situations. Different components of an on-board sensor input and processing system can be distributed along different parts of the scaffolding. Such structures beneficially minimize ambient sound occlusion and avoid the need of an exterior strap or clip worn around the ear.

A method and system for identifying an implant in an x-ray image of an anatomy shown on a display screen. The method includes: displaying the image including an artifact of the implant; prompting a user to enter parameters of the implant; displaying a rendering of the implant over the image; prompting the user to position the rendering on the artifact at an accurate position corresponding to an actual position of the implant; alerting the user when the rendering is at an inaccurate position; prompting the user to reposition the rendering from the inaccurate position to the accurate position; alerting the user when the rendering is maneuvered by the user to the accurate position; and after the rendering has been maneuvered to the accurate position by the user, reconstructing the x-ray image to replace the artifact with the rendering affixed in the accurate position.

A quality metric is generated from images captured from individuals. The quality metric is used to compare a volumetric measurement of the brain from the images to a reference control. The volumetric measurements are used to determine a percentile of the volume of a brain region of the individual, which reveals the state of disorder of a neurological disease.

Disclosed is a method of determining fetal movement during pregnancy or labour. The method comprises receiving patient data from measurements from a first sensor and a second sensor attached to a patient, each of the first and second sensors being selected from a set of sensor types consisting of an EMG (Electromyography) sensor, a flex sensor and an accelerometer, the patient data from the second sensor allowing detection of fetal movement when physiological signals impede detection of the fetal movement in the patient data from the first sensor, wherein the first sensor is a different sensor type from the second sensor. The method also comprises determining that fetal movement has occurred by processing the received patient data from the first and second sensors in order to indicate the determined fetal movement.

A system for detecting abnormalities in medical devices during medical procedures within a patient can include an inflow tubing defining an inflow lumen configured to provide a fluid from a fluid source to a site of the medical procedure. An inflow sensor can be in communication with the inflow lumen to sense an inflow parameter of the fluid within the inflow lumen. An outflow tubing can define an outflow lumen configured to extract debris from the site of the medical procedure. An outflow sensor can be in communication with the outflow lumen to sense an outflow parameter of the debris within the outflow lumen. A memory including instructions; and processing circuitry that, when in operation, can be configured by the instructions to identify an abnormality in either the inflow tubing or the outflow tubing based on comparing the inflow signal or the outflow signal, respectively, to a pre-determined threshold.
