PCT Publication Dates

International publication usually occurs on the first Thursday following the expiration of 18 months from the priority date, which is the earliest potential date for international publication. (Exceptions may occur if the International Bureau is closed on Thursday, meaning publication occurs on a different day, or if the applicant requests early publication). Changes to publication dates are always announced in advance in the PCT Newsletter.
