신규한 유기 강유전체 재료용 폴리머 재료 및 유기 강유전체 재료가 개시되어 있다. 당해 재료는, (메트)아크릴레이트계 폴리머로서, 그 폴리머가, 옥시카르보닐기의 말단측에 결합된 포화 또는 불포화 탄화수소 골격을 측사슬에 포함한 (메트)아크릴레이트의 1 종 또는 2 종 이상을 주모노머 단위로서 포함하여 이루어지고, 그 탄화수소 골격에 있어서, 그 옥시카르보닐기에 대한 β 탄소 원자 상에 적어도 1 개의 수소 원자를 갖고, 그 β 탄소 원자 상 및/또는 이것보다 말단측의 탄소 원자의 1 개 또는 2 개 이상에, 할로겐 원자, 시아노기, 옥소기 및 니트로기로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 1 개 또는 2 개 이상의 전자 흡인기가 결합되어 수소 원자를 치환하고 있고, 그 할로겐 원자가 불소 원자 및 염소 원자에서 선택되는 것인, 유기 강유전체 재료용 폴리머이다.
