Abstract

PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to include a flame retardant and foaming agent, thereby minimizing temperature increase due to the abnormal phenomena of the secondary battery and improving safety. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(10) comprises a flame retardant and foaming agent, in the secondary battery in which an electrode assembly(105) is packed with a battery exterior material(101). The electrode assembly has a positive electrode having a positive electrode mixture formed in a current collector; a negative electrode having a negative electrode mixture formed in a current collector; and a separator. The weight mixing ratio of the flame retardant and foaming agent is 5:95-20:80. The frame retardant is selected from halogen-based flame retardant, phosphorous-based flame retardant, and inorganic flame retardant and has a heat-absorbing function at 140-200 deg. C. 본 발명은 난연제 및 발포제를 포함하는 이차전지, 전지 모듈 및 전지 팩에 관한 것으로, 흡열 작용을 하는 난연제 및 발포제를 포함함으로 인하여 상기 이차전지, 전지 모듈 및 전지 팩의 이상 현상 발생으로 인하여 상승된 온도를 저하시켜 안전성을 향상시키는 것을 목적으로 한다.
