Abstract

PURPOSE: A secondary battery comprising a conductive polymer is provided to prevent the leakage of ignitable materials such as electrolyte, to stop the operation of a battery by shorting an electrode lead, thereby improving stability. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly with structure of positive electrode/separator/negative electrode, electrolyte impregnated in the electrode assembly, a battery case sealing the electrode assembly and the electrolyte, and electrode leads as input/output terminals for electrically connecting the positive electrode and the negative electrode in the electrode assembly to an external device. The electrode lead is projected to an external battery through the battery case, and comprises a conductive polymer capable of disconnecting electrical connection by raising resistance or melting when the temperature of a battery increases. 본 발명은 양극/분리막/음극 구조의 전극조립체와 상기 전극조립체에 함침되어 있는 전해액; 상기 전극조립체와 전해액을 밀봉하고 있는 전지케이스; 및 상기 전극조립체의 양극과 음극을 외부 디바이스에 전기적 연결하기 위한 입출력 단자로서, 전지케이스를 경유하여 전지 외부로 돌출되어 있고, 전지의 온도 상승시 용융되거나 또는 저항이 상승하여 전기적 연결을 차단할 수 있는 전도성 고분자를 포함하고 있는 전극 리드를 포함하는 구성으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 이차전지를 제공한다.
