PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for facilitating operation for dividing a single screen into a plurality of areas and displaying an image instructed by a user in each area.

SOLUTION: A projector 10 acquires first image information and second image information, displays a first image expressed by the first image information and a second image expressed by the second image information on a screen 40, and detects a position on the screen 40 instructed by an operation device 30. The projector 10 sets the area cut out from the first image on the basis of the position detected in the area in which the first image is displayed and the area cut out from the second image on the basis of the position detected in the area in which the second image is displayed, divides a display surface into the plurality of areas including a first area and a second area, and displays the third image of the area cut out from the first image in the first area on the basis of the first image information and the fourth image of the area cut out from the second image in the second area on the basis of the second image information.

【課題】単一の画面を複数の領域に分割して、各領域にユーザーが指示した画像を表示するための操作を容易にするための技術を提供する。
【解決手段】プロジェクター10は、第1画像情報、及び第2画像情報を取得し、前記第1画像情報が表す第1画像、及び前記第2画像情報が表す第2画像を、スクリーン40に表示し、操作デバイス30により指示されたスクリーン40上の位置を検出し、前記第1画像が表示された領域で検出した前記位置に基づいて、前記第1画像から切り出す領域を設定し、前記第2画像が表示した領域で検出された前記位置に基づいて、前記第2画像から切り出す領域を設定し、前記表示面を第1領域、及び第2領域を含む複数の領域に分割し、前記第1画像情報に基づいて、前記第1画像から切り出した領域の第3画像を前記第1領域に表示し、前記第2画像情報に基づいて、前記第2画像から切り出した領域の第4画像を前記第2領域に表示する。
