Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorber, when being used for an absorbent article, improving comfort by hardly providing a user with a feeling of discomfort, hardly inhibiting gas permeability, and hardly inhibiting swelling of an absorbent polymer contained in a humor absorbent material.

SOLUTION: An absorber 1A is a vertically-long absorber for absorbent articles formed by wrapping an absorbent polymer 3 as an absorbent material by sheet members 21 and 22 containing a thermally fusible synthetic resin. The absorber 1A is formed into a bag shape by forming a fusion part 4 formed by fusing the sheet members 21 and 22 to each other, on at least a part of the whole peripheral edge of the absorber 1A. A value of the thickness T/width W of the fusion part 4, as a ratio of the thickness T to the width W, is equal to or more than 1.

【課題】吸収性物品に使用した際に、使用者に違和感を与え難く、通気性を阻害し難く、更に体液吸収性材料に含まれる吸収性ポリマーの膨潤を阻害し難い、快適性が向上する吸収体を提供すること。
【解決手段】本発明の吸収体1Aは、吸収性材料である吸収性ポリマー3を、熱融着性の合成樹脂を含むシート部材21,22で包んだ吸収性物品用の縦長の吸収体である。吸収体1Aは、シート部材21,22どうしを融着してなる融着部4を、該吸収体1Aの全周縁の少なくとも一部に形成することにより、袋状に形成されている。融着部4は、その幅Wに対する厚みTの比である厚みT/幅Wの値が1以上である。
