PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To address the fact that there is the concern that a network cannot sufficiently collect important measurement data.

SOLUTION: The method comprises: a step in which an E-UTRAN transmits a message including a measurement trigger to a radio terminal; a step in which the radio terminal, after having set therein the measurement trigger included in the message received from the E-UTRAN, if an event associated with the measurement trigger occurs during an idle state, performs measurement and records measurement data including the measurement result and location information; a step in which the radio terminal transmits trigger type information indicating the type of the measurement trigger to the E-UTRAN when transitioning from an idle state to a connected state; and a step in which the E-UTRAN determines whether to request the radio terminal to transmit the measurement data on the basis of the trigger type information from the radio terminal.

【課題】 ネットワークが重要な測定データを十分に収集することができない虞がある。
【解決手段】 E−UTRANが、測定トリガを含むメッセージを無線端末に送信するステップと、無線端末が、E−UTRANから受信したメッセージに含まれる測定トリガを自端末に設定した後、アイドル状態において測定トリガに対応するイベントが発生すると、測定を行うとともに、測定結果と位置情報とを含む測定データを記録するステップと、無線端末が、アイドル状態からコネクテッド状態に遷移する際に、測定トリガを示すトリガ種別情報をE−UTRANに送信するステップと、E−UTRANが、無線端末からのトリガ種別情報に基づいて、無線端末に対して測定データの送信を要求するか否かを決定するステップと、を備える。
