PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible light-emitting device having low surface temperature of a panel, long lifetime, and high reliability, and a simple manufacturing method for a flexible light-emitting device.

SOLUTION: The flexible light-emitting device includes a substrate having flexibility and a light-transmitting property to visible light; a first adhesive layer arranged on the substrate; an insulating layer located on the first adhesive layer; a light-emitting element having a first electrode formed on the insulating layer, a second electrode opposed to the first electrode, and a layer containing an organic compound with a light-emitting property arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode; a second adhesive layer formed on the second electrode; a metal substrate arranged on the second adhesive layer; and a heat-radiating material layer formed on the metal substrate.

【課題】パネルの表面温度が低く、長寿命で信頼性の高いフレキシブル発光装置を提供することを目的の一とする。また、当該フレキシブル発光装置の簡便な作製方法を提供することを目的の一とする。
【解決手段】可撓性及び可視光に対する透光性を有する基板と、基板上に設けられた第1の接着剤層と、第1の接着剤層上に位置する絶縁層と、絶縁層上に形成された第1の電極、第1の電極と対向する第2の電極、及び第1の電極と第2の電極との間に設けられた発光性の有機化合物を含む層とを備える発光素子と、第2の電極上に形成された第2の接着剤層と、第2の接着剤層上に設けられた金属基板と、金属基板上に形成された放熱材料層とを有するフレキシブル発光装置を提供する。
