PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic moving body speed detector that is easily installed and has high measurement accuracy.

SOLUTION: A speed calculating means 68 calculates the speed v of a vehicle (moving body) 12 using a previously stored relation shown by Expression (1) v=(2a/dt)(dHy/Hx) based on the value of ratio between magnetic field temporal change amount dHy of Y axis direction calculated by a calculating means 66 of magnetic field temporal change amount of Y axis direction and magnetic field spatial differential value Hx of the X axis direction calculated by a calculating means 64 of magnetic field spatial differential value of the X axis direction. A first magnetometric sensor 20 and a second magnetometric sensor 22 for detecting magnetic field intensity of the X axis direction and magnetic field intensity of the Y axis direction, respectively, are arranged in one place along the travelling direction of the vehicle 12 while they are separated by a certain distance 2a of the Y axis direction, and the speed v of the vehicle 12 is measured. Therefore, the vehicle speed detector 10 that is easily installed and has high measurement accuracy is provided.

【課題】設置が容易で高い測定精度が得られる磁気式の移動体速度検出装置を提供する。
【解決手段】速度算出手段68により、式( 1)に示す予め記憶された関係から、Y軸方向磁界時間的変化量算出手段66により算出されたY軸方向磁界時間的変化量dHyとX軸方向磁界空間的差分値算出手段64により算出されたX軸方向磁界空間的差分値ΔHxの比の値に基づいて、車両( 移動体) 12の速度vが算出されることから、そのX軸方向の磁界の強さおよびY軸方向の磁界の強さをそれぞれ検出する第1磁気センサ20および第2磁気センサ22を、車両12の進行方向に沿った1箇所においてY軸方向に一定距離2aを隔てて配置することにより車両12の速度vが測定されるので、設置が容易で高い測定精度を有する車速検出装置10が得られる。
