Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the low image forming property of a recording layer using an alkali-soluble high molecular compound, and to provide a lithographic printing original plate for direct plate making excellent in lipophilic property of an image area and in removability of a non-image area and giving high-grade prints excellent in image reproducibility even in image formation with an FM screen or by high Lines-Per-Inch output.

SOLUTION: The lithographic printing original plate is obtained by disposing on a support a recording layer containing an alkali-soluble high molecular compound and an infrared absorbent, wherein a contact angle of a surface of the lithographic printing original plate to oil drops in water is 70 and that to water drops in oil is 140. In order to achieve such surface physical properties, a polymer having a lipophilic functional group in a side chain may be contained in the recording layer.

【課題】 アルカリ可溶性高分子化合物を用いた記録層の画像形成性の低さを改善し、画像部の親油性と非画像部の除去性に優れ、FMスクリーンや高線数出力による画像形成においても、画像再現性に優れた高品位な印刷物が得られるダイレクト製版用の平版印刷版原版を提供する。
【解決手段】 支持体上に、アルカリ可溶性高分子化合物と赤外線吸収剤とを含有する記録層を設けた平版印刷版原版であって、該平版印刷版原版表面の接触角が、水中油滴において70°以下、かつ、油中水滴において140°以上であることを特徴とする。このような表面物性を達成する手段として、記録層に、側鎖に親油性官能基を有するポリマーを含有する態様が挙げられる。
