PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed satellite communication system for audio, image, data, for mobile and stationary communication.

SOLUTION: A communication system includes at least one low altitude orbit 1st satellite 10, at least one 2nd satellite except on a low altitude orbit, and a ground segment 12 that includes at least one gateway 76 and is connected to a ground communication system accessible to a public network such as a PSTN(public switched telephone network) or an optical fiber network or the like and pluralities of user transceivers 78, 80, 82, 84. The 1st satellite 10 has a 1st, 2nd and 3rd transceivers that are used to communicate with the gateway 76, a user transceiver 78 and the 2nd satellite 11 or the like. The transceivers are connected by a mount processor and a switching matrix relaying communication with the gateway 76 and the user transceivers 78 or the like via the 2nd satellite 11. Pluralities of the user transceivers include data processors interconnected in the network via the 1st satellite.
