(EN) The object of the invention is to provide a projector that, when using a high definition display panel as an image forming means, can use a projection lens having an MTF value less than a predetermined value relative to the spatial frequency of the panel, and that can prevent an increase in the size and cost of the projection lens. The projector of the invention includes a DMD that forms an image, a projection lens that projects the image formed by the DMD on a projected surface, and a display control unit that controls an image forming operation of the DMD. The display control unit forms a frame image by sequentially forming a plurality of images using a combined pixel (303a, 300b) which is configured of a plurality of pixels (302), and with respect to temporally continuous two images, the display control unit forms one image at a position that is shifted by a distance that corresponds to the pixel pitch of the DMD in a predetermined direction relative to the other image.
(FR) L'invention concerne un projecteur qui a pour but de supprimer une augmentation de coût et de la taille d'une lentille de projection, et de permettre l'utilisation d'une lentille de projection ayant une valeur MTF inférieure à une valeur prescrite par rapport à la fréquence spatiale d'un panneau, lors de l'utilisation d'un panneau d'affichage haute définition comme moyen de formation d'image. Le projecteur de la présente invention possède des micro-miroirs à commutation numérique (DMD) pour former une image, une lentille de projection pour projeter l'image formée par les DMD sur une surface de projection, et une unité de commande d'affichage pour commander l'opération de formation d'image des DMD. L'unité de commande d'affichage forme une image de trame par formation séquentielle d'une pluralité d'images à partir de pixels combinés (303a, 300b) formés à partir d'une pluralité de pixels (302), et lors de la formation de deux images formées en continu dans le temps, forme une image à une position décalée par rapport à l'autre image dans une direction prescrite seulement de la distance correspondant au pas de pixel de DMD.
