Abstract

The invention relates to cell culture support comprising a functionalized xyloglucan hydrogel-based film, such as produced by . removal of at least 35%, preferably from 35-45%, of the galactose groups of the xyloglucan residue, . activation of part of the remaining free -OH groups of the sugar residues of the modified xyloglucan (galactose, xylose) for grafting a bioadhesive peptide as ligand or containing the specific motifs of ligand specific for the attachment site of cell surface proteins.
