A digital lighting apparatus for a vehicle, which employs a reflection digital light deflector (2), includes a storage unit (4) that stores digital data of a plurality of light distribution patterns and a controller (6). The controller (6) selects digital data corresponding to a predetermined light distribution pattern from among the digital data stored in the storage unit (4) and controls the reflection digital light deflector (2), and illuminates a road surface with the predetermined light distribution pattern.
