Abstract:
(EN) GPS assistance message and data issue identifiers for transmission to GPS enabled mobile stations in cellular communications networks and methods therefore. The GPS data issue identifiers indicate whether GPS data, for example corresponding ephemeris and almanac data, stored at the mobile station requires updating. In the exemplary 3rd generation (W-CDMA/UMTS) architecture, the GPS assistance message is a System Information Block (SIB), and the GPS ephemeris data identifier and corresponding satellite identifier is encoded in a value tag included in a Master Information Block (MIB).
(FR) L'invention concerne un message d'assistance GPS et des identificateurs de délivrance de données GPS, destinés à être émis vers des stations mobiles équipées de GPS (104), dans des réseaux de communications cellulaires (100), ainsi que des procédés associés. Les identificateurs de délivrance de données GPS indiquent si les données GPS correspondant, par exemple, aux données d'éphémérides et d'almanach, stockées sur la station mobile, nécessitent une mise à jour. Dans l'architecture exemplaire de 3ème génération (AMRC/UMTS), le message d'assistance GPS se trouve dans un bloc d'information système (SIB), et l'identificateur de données d'éphémérides GPS et l'identificateur de satellite correspondant sont codés dans un repère de valeur compris dans un bloc d'information maître (MIB).
