(EN) To derive NMR imaging information an object is subjected to a static magnetic field on which is superimposed a sinusoidally time varying magnetic gradient field. A sequence of narrow 90° rf pulses are applied around the instants when the gradient field has a zero value. The rf pulses have relative phase quadrature such that excited nuclei precess with accumulated phase in each sequence.
(FR) Pour obtenir l'information relative à l'imagerie par RMN, un objet est soumis à un champ magnétique statique sur lequel on surimpose un champ de gradient magnétique variant de manière sinusoïdale avec le temps. Une séquence d'impulsions de fréquences radio étroites à 90° est émise aux moments où le champ de gradient a une valeur zéro. Les impulsions de fréquence radio ont une quadrature de phase relative de sorte que les noyaux excités présentent de la précession avec la phase accumulée dans chaque séquence.
