Transparente Beschichtung, das Verfahren zur Herstellung der Beschichtung und ihre Verwendung für Anzeigebereiche von flächig beschichteten Glas- oder Glaskeramik-Scheiben, wobei die transparente Beschichtung der Anzeigebereiche in Aussparungen der flächigen, nichttransparenten Beschichtung als Sol-Gel-Farbe mit Alkylsilicaten als Filmbildner angeordnet ist und die aus dem Filmbildner durch thermische Behandlung entstandene Beschichtung über die reaktiven Gruppen der Alkylsilicate vernetzt ist und direkt an das Silicium gebundene, organische, nicht hydrolisierbare Reste aufweist.
