Fahrzeug (10) mit einem Fahrerassistenzsystem, welches eine an einer Frontseite des Fahrzeugs (10) angeordnete Sensoreinrichtung zum Erfassen von Objekten (16) in einem ersten, frontal vor dem Fahrzeug (10) liegenden Umgebungsbereich (26) umfasst, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Sensoreinrichtung zum Erfassen von Objekten (16) in einem zweiten Umgebungsbereich (28) ausgelegt ist, wobei sich der zweite Umgebungsbereich (28) seitlich von dem Fahrzeug (10) weg erstreckt, wobei die Sensoreinrichtung in einem ersten Modus zum Erfassen von Objekten (16) in dem ersten Umgebungsbereich (26) und in einem zweiten Modus zum Erfassen von Objekten (16) in dem zweiten Umgebungsbereich (28) ausgelegt ist, und wobei die Sensoreinrichtung dazu ausgelegt ist, eine Fahrtrichtungsänderung zu erfassen und in Abhängigkeit von der erfassten Fahrtrichtungsänderung von dem ersten Modus in den zweiten Modus und/oder von dem zweiten Modus in den ersten Modus zu schalten, wobei im zweiten Modus eine Abtastrichtung der Sensoreinrichtung über eine entsprechende Schwenkeinrichtung gedreht ist. embedded image

The vehicle (10) has a driver assistance system e.g. adaptive cruise control, with a sensor device arranged in a front side of the vehicle. The sensor device is formed in a mode for detecting objects (16) in a circumference area (26) and in another mode for detecting the objects in another circumference area (28), where the latter circumference area is extended laterally from the vehicle. The sensor device detects a driving direction change and switches from the former mode into the latter mode and/or from the latter mode into the former mode based on the detected driving direction change. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a sensor device of a driver assistance system of a vehicle.
