Abstract

The present invention provides a power supply having a variable output voltage that makes it possible to suppress higher harmonics, while maintaining high power factor using a simple structure. This power supply is provided with an AC power supply 1; a bridge rectifying circuit configured with four diodes 2 to 5 for full-wave rectification of the alternating current from the AC power supply 1; a reactor 8 connected between the AC power supply 1 and an AC input 6a of the bridge rectifying circuit; a capacitor 10 connected between an AC input 6b and a DC output 6d; a smoothing capacitor 7; a zero-cross detection means 12; a two-way switch drive signal generating means 13; and a two-way switch drive means 14.
