The invention discloses a paging method and device, used for avoiding the condition that paging messages are sent on all beams to ensure that corresponding paging can be received by all terminals within the coverage in a high frequency NR system, thereby saving downlink time-frequency resources. The paging method provided by the invention comprises the following steps: a paging instruction used for indicating whether a terminal has paging messages or not is sent to the terminal; and a paging message is sent to the terminal when a random access preamble sequence sent by the terminal is received.

本申请公开了一种寻呼方法及装置,用以在高频NR系统中,避免在所有波束上都发送寻呼消息以保证覆盖内的所有终端都能够收到相应寻呼,从而节省下行时频资源。本申请提供的一种寻呼方法,包括:向终端发送用于指示所述终端是否有寻呼消息的寻呼指示;当接收到所述终端发送的随机接入前导序列时,向所述终端发送寻呼消息。
