粘度指数(VI)改进添加剂在汽车燃料组合物中的用途,其目的是改进所述燃料组合物引入其中的内燃发动机的加速性能。可使用该添加剂提高组合物的粘度,其提高量高于理论预期的发生量。该燃料组合物合适地是柴油燃料组合物,和该添加剂合适地包括含有选自乙烯、丙烯、丁烯、丁二烯、异戊二烯和苯乙烯单体中的一种或多种单体嵌段的嵌段共聚物。优选在组合物中以0.5%w/w或更低的浓度使用该添加剂。
