The invention relates to an energy storage unit (1) having a plurality of batteries (10). The energy storage unit is capable of inhibiting the short circuit between a bus and a container of a battery under abnormal states. Each battery includes a container (100) housing an electrode assembly (400) and positive and negative electrode terminals (200, 300) electrically connected to the electrode assembly and extending from the container in the same direction, includes: a bus bar (150) electrically connecting a first terminal, which is one of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal of a first battery (10a) included in the plurality of batteries, and a second terminal, which is one of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal of a second battery (10b) included in the p plurality of batteries and opposite in polarity to the first terminal; a packing member (330) interposed between the first terminal and the container of the first energy storage device; and an insulating member (160) interposed between the bus bar and the container of the first energy storage device.
