Abstract
(EN) Provided are a thermo-optic phase modulation module and an optical modulator. The thermo-optic phase modulation module comprises: a substrate; an isolation layer, which is located above the substrate; a first waveguide, which is located above the isolation layer; and at least one heating element, which is located above the isolation layer and which does not overlap with the first waveguide in a direction perpendicular to the bottom surface of the substrate. The thermo-optic phase modulation module has a plurality of side heat insulation grooves which extend downward from a top surface and which expose the substrate, and the plurality of side heat insulation grooves are arranged around the first waveguide and the at least one heating element.
(FR) L'invention concerne un module de modulation de phase thermo-optique et un modulateur optique. Le module de modulation de phase thermo-optique comprend : un substrat ; une couche d'isolation, qui est située au-dessus du substrat ; un premier guide d'ondes, qui est situé au-dessus de la couche d'isolation ; et au moins un élément chauffant, qui est situé au-dessus de la couche d'isolation et qui ne chevauche pas le premier guide d'ondes dans une direction perpendiculaire à la surface inférieure du substrat. Le module de modulation de phase thermo-optique comporte une pluralité de rainures d'isolation thermique latérales qui s'étendent vers le bas à partir d'une surface supérieure et qui exposent le substrat, et la pluralité de rainures d'isolation thermique latérales sont disposées autour du premier guide d'ondes et du ou des éléments chauffants.
