Abstract
(EN) Traditional buttons or other controls on a touchscreen are limited to activation by touch, and require the touch to be at a specific location on the touchscreen. Herein, these controls are extended so that they can be additionally activated by voice, without the need to touch them. These extended, listening controls work in either a touch mode or a listening mode to fulfill the same functions irrespectively of how they are activated. The user may control when the device enters and exits the listening mode with a gesture. When in the listening mode, the display of the controls may change to indicate that they have become speech activated, and captured speech may be displayed as text. A visual indicator may show microphone activity. The device may also accept spoken commands in the listening mode.
(FR) Des boutons classiques ou d'autres commandes sur un écran tactile sont limités à l'activation par contact, et nécessitent que le contact soit à un emplacement précis sur l'écran tactile. Dans la présente invention, ces commandes sont étendues de telle sorte qu'elles peuvent être en outre activées par la voix, sans qu'il soit nécessaire de les toucher. Ces commandes d'écoute étendues fonctionnent soit dans un mode tactile soit dans un mode d'écoute et remplissent les mêmes fonctions indépendamment de la manière dont elles sont activées. L'utilisateur peut amener le dispositif à entrer et sortir du mode d'écoute avec un geste. Dans le mode d'écoute, l'affichage des commandes peut changer pour indiquer qu'elles ont fait l'objet d'une activation vocale, et les paroles capturées peuvent être affichées sous forme de texte.
